HolidayCheck.de offers an end-to-end service from initial trip research through to booking those dream vacations. With the aim of becoming the “world’s most holiday-friendly company”, HolidayCheck has expanded its services this year. In addition to its comparison and brokerage services, the portal now organises its own holidays and offers its customers tailored packages including everything from the flights to the diving course.
As it moved from being a broker to become a merchant of record, HolidayCheck Reisen looked for a payments solution that could be easily integrated into existing systems and that is highly scalable. Datatrans quickly came out on top in the tender process. “Datatrans asked the right questions, clearly understood our challenges and overcame the hurdles up front, with gusto!” explains the visibly impressed Finance Manager Sebastian Gottwald. The travel provider has already been working with the Datatrans PCI Proxy team for several years and appreciates the relationship based on trust.
So there was nothing to stop the Swiss payment service provider from expanding its systems. HolidayCheck continues to use PCI Proxy on its front end. The Datatrans solution tokenises sensitive credit card data before forwarding the tokens to the company’s own back-end systems. From there they are sent directly to Datatrans, which carries out the payment authorisation.
It has only just got going, but HolidayCheck Reisen is already setting new payment targets: The next project will see Datatrans support the trip organiser with additional payment methods and the integration of a user-friendly 3D Secure process. They clearly know the road ahead, both in their business and when it comes to payments.
